Burford Library - A Seriously Useful Author's Guide to Marketing and Publicising Books
As part of The Burford Festival I am speaking about Seriously at Burford Library on Tuesday 14th July, 8.00pm. My publishers, Troubador, have assured me that a new print run has been received so hopefully it will be 'seriously' available from now on.
Mostly Books Night
The Oxford Writers Group, of which I am a member, held a very successful evening at Mostly Books on Thursday 9th July. Thanks everyone for a wonderful event. The report is up on the Mostly Books blog at: http://mostly-books.blogspot.com If you live in the Abingdon area, and are looking to join a writing group, then do get in touch with Mark.
The Northern Clemency by Philip Hensher
Too long. Too rambling. Poor characterisation. Storylines started and lost. No drama. No drawing together of any loose threads. Don't bother.

Dear Marie, I relly love your books which I read one and started the other but it was a bit confusing, they are the best books I ever read in my life and I read nearly twenty books and I hope we can meet one day because I think you are fantastic writer and I want to be a writer like you one day and as I relly want to meet your little dogs and your husband in Kennington I hope to come to meet you this year with my wife, your fan from Poland Gregor.
